CTH: Looking to convert after 3 months. Must be near a Walmart hub to convert. CA, Portland, Seattle, New York, Chicago, Texas, Florida, Bentonville. Team/org: Ecommerce team, specifically discovery - everything on the site before someone goes into checkout flow. How customers find and decide, homepage search, navigation lists, favoriting, registries, item page, social commerce.

Project: New area called Brand Shops. If there is a brand or third party seller that wants to own a shop page on Walmart.com, currently done manually in partnership with business and engineering. This is an initiative to basically automate the process - there is a separate team designing the backend interface, go to website (similar to WordPress) - this resource will own the customer experience and how it looks. They will be paired up with a lead to support the work, close collaboration partner - other team members: internal tool designer who is building out actual interface. They are not starting from scratch. There are some elements the candidate will be bringing together.

Not doing all the IA Day to day is end to end product design:- site maps, user flows - low-hi fidelity prototyping - visual design Tech/methodology: They are a Figma house and she coined "Wagile" team. Not strict to Agile principles but definitely work in sprints. Soft skills:- She always likes people that have other aspects of their life they are flexing into or leading. I.e. teaching a class, or really into writing. Likes a self starter that adapts and drives things - Ability to clearly talk about design, articulate decisions, bring back to problem, resume and portfolio presented nicely.- communication is key. Walmart is a large scale org so coming from enterprise background often helps with communication and portfolio quality.- She likes hiring people with diverse backgrounds Portfolio: high quality assets, case studies, want to see process – want to see polished work, high resolution visuals, good level of taste, ability to self edit, not screens, but not 18 pages on research without POV – clear communication, design decisions. Walmart in general is very presentation focused, so they may need to present their work to managers, other team members, business units, etc. There will not be a required research component, they have an in house research team. Target 5+ years of experience IV process: 2 rounds. Each will be a combo of her, Justin (team lead), and Charlotte (team member) 1. 30 minutes portfolio presentation with questions 2. 1 hour portfolio presentation with extended Q&A Get candidate availability for IVs. Usually free until 10:30am EST.
