About the Role:
Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Inc. is looking for a friendly and organized Telephone Receptionist to be the welcoming voice of our practice in Cranberry Twp, PA. Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct a high volume of inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, referrals, and general office information
• Accurately collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Coordinate communication between patients, families, and clinical staff
• Process prescription refill requests and route messages to appropriate providers
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a medical or healthcare receptionist or call center role preferred
• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) or medical scheduling software
• Strong multitasking ability in a busy, patient-focused environment
• Compassionate and patient demeanor, especially when working with pediatric patients and families
• Knowledge of medical insurance, referrals, and basic billing processes a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
