POSITION SUMMARY
Performs all operational duties at all water treatment plants on a shift basis to functionally supply the City of Harlingen with potable water. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing the City’s water treatment plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED (required)
Technical courses in water plant operations or a combination of experience and training (PREFERRED)
CERTIFICATION: Certification at an “A”, “B”, or “C”, level in surface water plant operations or ability to obtain within a set time depending
on the license and experience level
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
EXPERIENCE: Water Treatment experience (PREFERRED)
Basic computer skills
Experience in using basic hand tools and some large equipment (PREFERRED)
