Job Description
Emergency Room Nurse - Pediatrics

Schedule

12-hour evening shifts, 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

36 hours per week, must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced emergency room with a strong pediatric presence.
• Epic experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC.
• Experience with pediatric population highly preferred.
• Travelers must have prior travel experience and cannot be current or former employees of the associated healthcare system.
• Local travelers within 50 miles may experience a rate decrease.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients across a diverse range of diagnoses and chief complaints.
• Perform triage and assist in managing patient flow within the emergency department.
• Administer conscious sedation and participate in trauma and stroke alerts.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team nursing approach and assist with patient sitting.
• Float to the ICU and emergency department as needed.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, providing appropriate interventions.

Compliance / Notes
