Accounting Supervisor

Due to a retirement and internal promotion, this non-automotive, stable manufacturer is hiring an Accounting Supervisor. The Accounting Supervisor will report to the Controller, oversee two individuals and support the site accounting and finance activities. Daily activities will include:

• Providing leadership and guidance of two A/P and A/R professionals
• Completing the site closing process, including journal entries, fixed assets and cost analysis
• Supporting weekly, monthly and annual financial reporting
• Assisting with the annual budgeting process
• Completing financial analysis projects
• Assisting with cash flow analysis and inventory adjustments
• Updating standard cost based on market changes and adjusting in the ERP system
• Partnering with all facets of production, materials and engineering in order to ensure accurate product costing
• Partnering with the Controller to assist with P&L analysis
• Backing up the Controller on an as-needed basis
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualified candidates should have strong analytical skills, be able to build rapport and enjoy working within a team-oriented environment. Requirements for the Accounting Supervisor:

• Bachelors Degree, ideally in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar manufacturing accounting position
• General knowledge of cost accounting processes
• Experience contributing to the budgeting processes
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing
• Financial reporting experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:

• Formalized Lean and/or Six Sigma training
• Crystal reports
• Paylocity or other payroll software
• HR, benefits or 401K administration
• Supervision experience

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Mansfield, Ohio area.
