Physician Assistant - Podiatry

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Podiatry to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health . South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy.The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

• Provide comprehensive surgical care in collaboration with attending surgeons and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient surgical care.
• Evaluate and manage podiatric surgical patients.
• Assist in the operating room and perform Peri-operative assessments.
• Participate in Emergency Department consultations, coordinate discharge planning, and provide cross-coverage of other surgical services as needed.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
• Surgical/Orthopedic experience preferred; motivated new graduates with strong surgical clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319** ,which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
