Cottage Hospital is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team.In this role, you'll be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens, ensuring accurate patient identification and specimen handling, and supporting laboratory operations that help drive high-quality patient care. If you're a strong communicator, critical thinker, and team player who takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care, we'd love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary puncture techniquesVerify patient identification and ensure proper specimen labeling and handlingEducate and assist patients with collection of urine, stool, and other specimensTransport and deliver specimens according to hospital and laboratory protocolsMaintain laboratory supplies and assist with inventory managementFollow infection prevention, safety, and PPE requirementsProvide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and staffPerform waived testing as appropriateSupport quality assurance and quality control processesAssist with orientation and mentoring of new team membersCollaborate effectively with nursing, medical, clerical, and allied health staffQualifications:Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentCritical thinking and sound judgment skillsCommitment to patient-centered care and quality outcomesAt Cottage Hospital, you'll find more than just a job—you'll find an opportunity to make a difference every day while working alongside a supportive team dedicated to serving our community.Hours are weekdays with a Saturday rotation.Join a place where you can learn, grow, and give back.
