Detention and Deportation Officer (Senior) The incumbent serves as a senior Detention and Deportation Officer, providing expert leadership, guidance, and oversight for complex enforcement and removal operations at the national level. The position is responsible for implementing, and evaluating agency-wide policies, strategies, and initiatives, and for directing multi‑jurisdictional operations in collaboration with agency leadership, field offices, and external partners. You will perform the following duties: Provides authoritative guidance on program direction, priorities, and resource allocation. Directs and oversees complex, multi‑jurisdictional enforcement and removal operations, coordinating efforts across multiple field offices, agency components, and external partners. Develops, implements, and evaluates policy guidance, operational directives, and program standards for assigned area of responsibility. Manages the formulation, justification, and execution of budgets for assigned programs. Resolves highly complex, sensitive, or precedent‑setting operational issues within area of responsibility. Organizational Location: These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), in multiple locations including Atlanta, Georgia; Baltimore, Maryland; Buffalo, New York; and more. Salary: The salary range indicated in this announcement reflects the lowest and highest potential salaries for this position.
