Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring L&D specialty experience, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN FHM certification for a 13-week night shift contract in North Carolina.

• Hospital Labor & Delivery unit setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required prior to start of clinical care
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)

Additional Information

• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and documentation under physician direction
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to identify expected patient outcomes and address complex care needs
• Communicates with patients and families to develop and update individualized care plans using cultural competency and active listening
• Promotes infection control standards and maintains a safe, clean hospital environment
• Some units may require ACLS certification prior to performing clinical care; training and certification opportunities may be provided
