Shift Leader

Position Overview Jersey Mike’s has been making amazing subs since 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. We are seeking a Shift Leader to support the management team in running their assigned location, ensuring high‑quality food, excellent customer service, and compliance with company standards. Responsibilities Coach staff to deliver amazing customer service. Produce high quality food. Deliver the Jersey Mike’s experience. Handle cash. Follow the Learning Management System Training Program. Develop others for career growth. Enforce policies and procedures. Participate in local and national marketing initiatives. Build sales. Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation practices in the establishment. Be certified in all four positions of the restaurant. Communicate effectively. Have a sense of urgency. Shift Leader Expectations Move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance (unless a medical notation is provided) and comply with ADA guidelines. Work 38–40 hours per week. Have the ability to get to and from work. Communicate with the GM/AGM/DM about any issues. Lead by example in food quality, customer interaction, and appearance in a clean, fitted, and pressed uniform daily. Key Duties Create food consistent with Jersey Mikes high quality standards. Maintain a noticeably cleaner restaurant than others. Work in a fast‑paced team‑driven atmosphere. Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency. Interface with customers and provide an exceptional experience. Show full understanding of accountability and integrity. Key holder. Perform all tasks related to opening and closing of store. Know how to bake bread and perform all prep. Manage and lead crew of 2 to 5 people. Proficient in slicing. Qualifications & Requirements High school degree or equivalent. 1 year of QSR experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer. Serve Safe Certification – Food Handler.
