Job Posting: Food Service Specialist

Location: St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Bristol - Bristol, CT
Position: Part-Time, 25 hours/week (Some weekends/holidays as needed)
Pay: $17/hour
Description

St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Bristol is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals and families in need by providing meals, shelter, compassion, and community support. Our community kitchen is a core part of our mission-serving guests with dignity and offering nutritious meals daily.

The Food Service Specialist plays a key role in preparing and serving meals, supporting volunteers, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.

Requirements

Experience in commercial or institutional food service (required)
Valid driver's license with a good driving record (required) for food pickups and supply runs
ServSafe certification (required) or ability to obtain within 30 days
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Compassionate, patient, and mission-driven approach to serving vulnerable populations
