About this opportunity:

We are seeking an Engineering Student Intern to join our Data Center Platform Software team for 3 months, working on software for network switches and compute systems. You will help develop and debug BSPs, Linux device drivers, and hardware diagnostics. You will also contribute to operating system development and platform bring-up. Along the way, you will gain hands-on experience across the hardware/software stack behind AI and cloud infrastructure.

Activities:

• 
  Develop and debug Board Support Packages (BSPs) for data center network switches and compute systems.
  
  
• 
  Write and troubleshoot Linux device drivers to facilitate seamless hardware-software communication.
  
  
• 
  Design and execute hardware diagnostics to validate system stability, performance, and hardware integration.
  
  
• 
  Participate in platform bring-up, helping initialize and test new hardware alongside the software stack.
  
  
• 
  Contribute to operating system development, utilizing core Linux/OS concepts and inter-process communication mechanisms.
  
  
• 
  Write system-level code and scripts using C, C++, and Python to solve complex system challenges.

  Collaborate with the Data Center Platform Software team, applying data structures and algorithms to optimize infrastructure for AI and cloud environments.
  
  

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
• Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).
• Basic manufacturing system knowledge.

Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
