Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Tester - Federal & Oracle Systems

Savantage Solutions is seeking a Senior Q.A.Tester to join our professional services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal systems, federal finance, and Oracle APEX.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Senior QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of our software solutions tailored for our commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) systems and solutions. You will work closely with our development teams to design, implement, and execute test plans and strategies for System Integration Testing (SIT) and Quality Assurance (QA) testing.

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and cases that align with project requirements and timelines, focusing on federal finance systems and Oracle APEX applications.
• Conduct SIT and QA testing to identify software defects and ensure the reliability and performance of applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand system architectures and develop effective testing strategies.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards throughout the testing process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies related to federal systems and Oracle APEX.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA testers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  The candidate must have:

• At least 4-5 years of experience in SIT or QA testing
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Experience working with Oracle APEX and understanding its architecture and applications.
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.

  Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience in SIT or QA testing with a specific focus on federal systems, federal finance, and/or Oracle APEX.
• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, LoadRunner, or similar)
• Experience with API testing (Postman or similar)
• Familiarity with federal finance regulations and requirements.
• Experience with Gitlab, Jira, or other Agile development platforms.
• Experience with version control flow and supporting tools (Github, Gitlab, or similar)

  Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
