Job Title Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor Job Summary As a member of Management, you will be the heartbeat of our store, responsible for managing daily operations, inspiring a high-performance team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the store’s success and contribute to our company’s growth. Key Responsibilities Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team. Foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance. Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service. Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets. Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations. Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth. Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers. Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations. Perform additional duties and projects as required. Qualifications Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences. Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data‑driven decisions. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications. Availability Requirements Assistant Store Manager Availability Open availability, including during hours necessary to open and close the store (morning, day, night). Minimum standard work week of 5 days; average 44 hours, with increases during peak periods (e.g., holiday, back‑to‑school). Must be available on weekends and holidays. Supervisor Availability Required to open and close the store (morning, day, night). Minimum of 5 days availability per week. Minimum standard of a 30‑hour work week; must be available on weekends and holidays. Physical Demands Prolonged standing approximately 5–14 hours per day; during peak periods may work 1–12 hour day. Stooping, kneeling, reaching, and pulling to stock merchandise. Climb ladder or ascend/descend stairs to stock merchandise. Lifting items weighing 5–25 lbs regularly; higher weights may be required in certain circumstances. Requires good vision, including color differentiation. Work environment is moderately noisy. Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Compensation Assistant Manager: $19.31 – $21.00 per hour with bonus opportunities if store KPIs are met. Supervisor: $18.97 – $19.97 per hour. All roles eligible for the company 401(k) plan. Full‑time roles eligible for medical, dental, vision, sick leave, parental leave, and company‑paid time off.
