- Operate commercial dishwashing machines following safety and chemical guidelines.
- Scrape, rinse, and load dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware into racks.
- Hand-wash large pots, pans, fragile items, or specialized tools that do not fit in the machine.
- Monitor machine water temperature, soap, and sanitizer levels regularly
- Sort, stack, and store clean plates, cups, and cookware in designated kitchen and service areas.
- Restock serving lines, bars, and cook stations with clean gear throughout shifts.
- Sweep, scrub, and mop kitchen and dish area floors.
- Empty trash cans, break down cardboard boxes, and clean garbage bins.
- Wipe down equipment, prep surfaces, and walls as needed.
- Report any broken equipment or plumbing issues immediately.
- Assist cooks with basic food prep tasks (such as washing or chopping vegetables) when time permits.
