Marketing & Development Specialist

PLS Pros is a specialized mechanical & electrical contractor for material handling — conveyors, mezzanines, and sortation systems — and we're growing fast. So fast that we need someone to build two things at once: our first full-time, in-house marketing function, and PLS University, our AI-powered microlearning platform that develops the skilled professionals who make our projects run. This is not a maintain-the-machine job. It's a build-the-machine job. We're looking for a pioneer: someone who's energized by a blank slate, hungry to master AI content tools, and disciplined enough to turn big vision into finished, measurable work. This is a brand-new seat at a growing company — you define this function and see your impact directly. You will have direct access to ownership and leadership; a structured quarterly planning rhythm so priorities are realistic and supported. What You'll Do Marketing Create marketing campaigns with measurable ROI, driving both customer sales and skilled-trades recruitment. Lead our website redesign and bring digital marketing management in-house. Define and enforce our brand — build the brand book, fix our identity, and make every touchpoint unmistakably PLS. Grow our search authority: SEO, paid media, and a consistent, value-adding LinkedIn presence amplified by our whole team. Report real analytics to leadership: where we are, where we're going, and proof we're getting there. Manage our company intranet and produce and host our quarterly all-company town halls — live, with field Q&A and polling. Training & Development Own PLS University (“Learn Grow Lead”) on Talent LMS — five schools covering safety, field operations, office operations, and leadership. Use AI tools to turn policies, handbooks, and great business books into sharp, chunked microlearning — 10–15 minute lessons that busy field professionals actually complete and retain. Get every Pro one hour of development per week — 40+ hours a year of real growth. Rebuild new-hire orientation from the ground up. Make training stick: assessments that verify retention and content that changes behavior in the field. Organize quarterly in-person leadership training — teach some sessions yourself, coordinate internal experts for the rest. What You Bring Experience in marketing (brand, digital, campaigns, analytics) and/or training & development — and the range to own both. We care more about drive, aptitude, and ownership than a specific number of years. A builder's mindset: you turn ambiguity into plans and plans into shipped work, and you're comfortable when the vision evolves. Genuine excitement about AI — you don't need to be an expert today, but you must be committed to mastering AI content-creation tools. Comfort on camera, in front of a classroom, and running live events. Crisp writing — you can reduce a 40-page manual to the three things people need to remember.
