Automated Logic- BAS/BMS Master Field Technician

About the Role A Master Field Technician will serve as the expert voice on-site, leading complex commissioning, solving deep system problems, and shaping how buildings perform. They will mentor newer technicians, partner with strong project teams, and deliver precise work that customers remember. The role offers autonomy, professional development, and a path to advancement into engineering or leadership positions. What You’ll Do Lead commissioning and optimization of advanced BAS for HVAC, lighting, and energy systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and integration issues across multiple platforms (WebCTRL®, Niagara, Schneider, Honeywell). Integrate third‑party systems using BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks. Configure controls, trends, alarms, and reports; manage secure network connections. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians. Deliver customer training and ensure systems perform exactly as promised. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or technical field. Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade. Capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs. Valid and current Driver’s License and ability to be insured by the company’s insurance. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field. Proficient with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls. Ability to navigate and integrate a variety of building automation systems. Expert with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology. Experience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines. Ability to communicate technical information to a non‑technical audience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
