Med/Surg Tele RN - Night and Day Shifts

This is a 13-week contract position with the potential for extension.

This role requires a rotating shift of 3x12-hour shifts, with options for night (19:00 - 07:30) or day (07:00 - 19:30) schedules. Shifts may be variable as needed to meet the operational requirements of the hospital.

The Med/Surg Tele RN will provide care for patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry units, with the potential to float to related units. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to patients in a med/surg telemetry setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
• Float to other units as necessary to support patient care.
• Complete documentation in accordance with facility standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing, with recent experience in the specialty.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license is required at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be current and in hand.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation.
