Description

• Assess patients of all ages using comprehensive evaluations and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions targeting communication skills, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing assistance.
• Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to devise integrated care solutions.
• Provide guidance to patients and their families to support progress between therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional evaluations and interventions for inpatient speech therapy, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient's journey.
• Keep accurate and timely records in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to enhance your expertise in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet obtained ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
