The role is based in our well-equipped and friendly office, providing a nurturing environment for both staff and patients. We are seeking to employ a Dental Hygienist on a Full-Time basis. This is an onsite role, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive setting. The right candidate will play a pivotal role in our mission to promote oral health, focusing on preventive care and patient education. Duties and Responsibilities Screening patients during checkups to assess oral health conditions and risk of periodontal disease. Reviewing a patient's dental and medical histories to ensure safe and individualized care. Recommending oral hygiene techniques to patients, tailoring advice according to individual needs and treatment plans. Performing adult or child prophylaxis cleaning, meticulously removing plaque and calculus to prevent dental issues. Scaling and root planing and periodontal maintenance to treat patients with periodontal disease, ensuring thorough care. Administration of local anesthetic for cleanings as needed, delivering a pain-free patient experience. Administration of nitrous oxide inhalation for anxiety and pain control, adhering to safety protocols. Applying preventive varnishes such as fluoride or hydroxyapatite to aid in the strengthening of teeth. Taking x-rays and reviewing them to identify any signs of periodontal disease, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Grading and staging of periodontal disease using established clinical guidelines, informing appropriate treatment approaches. Requirements Current/Active Colorado Dental Hygiene License required. Must possess valid CPR certification to address any patient emergencies. We can also offer free class opportunities if needed. Qualified to administer nitrous oxide and local dental anesthetic, adhering to legal and safety standards. Availability to commit to a full-time schedule, ensuring consistent care and attention to patient needs. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members. Demonstrated ability to manage both administrative responsibilities and direct patient care efficiently. Keen attention to detail and dedication to advancing patient health through commendable dental practices. Proven experience in dental hygiene, with a strong foundation in both preventive and diagnostic services. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in dental techniques and technology. The ideal candidate is laser certified (LBR, Curettage), but there are CE opportunities to learn these skills once employed.
