Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Type: Contract
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations, including patient rooming, scheduling, phlebotomy, vaccinations, vital signs, and clinical support.
Responsibilities- Greet and room patients.
- Schedule appointments and answer phones.
- Take and record vital signs.
- Perform blood draws and venipuncture.
- Administer vaccines.
- Perform EKGs.
- Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing.
- Provide front and back-office support.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Support clinical staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in addition to an externship.
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
- Front/back-office experience.
- EKG experience.
- POC testing experience.
- Scheduling experience.
- Patient rooming experience.
- BLS or CPR certification. Candidates without either may start pending approval from Marathon.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification.
- Occupational Health experience.
