About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be responsible for directing all accounting and financial activities, providing strategic leadership in budgeting, investments, reinsurance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. This role involves working closely with the President to shape long-term capital allocation strategy, overseeing investment policy, and leading the development of the annual corporate plan. The CFO will also be involved in negotiating and administering the reinsurance program and must ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and full regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, with an MBA or Master's in finance, and a CPA preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, particularly in property and casualty insurance, is required. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the Board, executives, auditors, and independent agents. Key responsibilities for the CFO include leading the accounting, risk management, and investment teams, and working closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and external partners. The role is pivotal in supporting the company's growth opportunities, including potential mergers and acquisitions, and requires a leader who can uphold the company's values of a people-first culture and strong community involvement.
