Job Title6 days a week, 8-10 hour shifts depending on business needs.Midnights (11pm-7am) Training on days (5a-1p)*Overtime may be required, Saturdays are required*Responsibilities:Inspect and polish dies so they are ready for productionAssist in die correctionsLoad, start and monitor nitriderDeliver the dies to presses according to schedule and bring back extruded dies for caustic/storageMust have working ability to use an assortment of hand toolsMust be physically capable of lifting 75 pounds from the floor to a waist high platform (required)Responsible for maintenance of all extrusion dies to achieve maximum productivityPolish dies after die correction is completedMust have previous experience of die polishing and/or correctionMust possess the working ability and/or willingness to work with causticRun the dies through the caustic solution to clean excess aluminum out of the dieAssemble and break down tooling assembliesMake sure the dies are clean and there are no remaining aluminum remnants leftDie storage- putting the dies away and retrieval- taking the dies out of storageEnsure a safe and clean work environmentWear safety equipment and follow safety protocolOperating hand tool including hammer and chiselClean work area end of shiftKnowledge of production operation and experience in manufacturing environmentPerform any other assignments givenRequirements:Prior experience or knowledge of die/die shop is desiredMust be able to work well with others in a team environmentMust be flexible with scheduling based on business needsMust possess good attitudeMust be reliable and maintain good attendanceMust be willing to work between plant locations (Garden City and/or Livonia)Must be able to work shiftMust be able to follow directions and perform assignments givenMust be able to read and write in English fluentlyMust be 18 years or olderMust have at least a high school diploma, GED.
