About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Computed Tomography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT), Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have: Experience working with trauma patients Description: This position involves working with CT scans in various settings. Daily responsibilities include performing CT scans on inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases. The department has four GE scanners available for use. The average number of scans performed varies by location, with outpatient averaging 12-14 scans daily. In-house procedures may utilize one machine for up to 10 patients in a day. The emergency department machine averages around 40 scans across shifts. The facility employs EPIC for its electronic medical records and picture archiving communication system. Radiologists are available on-site during the day and on-call during after-hours. Starting IVs is preferred but not required for this role. There will always be a supervisor or lead tech available as a resource during shifts. The typical schedule is from Friday to Sunday with minimal call responsibilities. Holidays are rotated among staff members as needed. Scrubs will be provided for the position.
