Medical Technician - Phlebotomist

Job Title
*THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*
Major duties include but are not limited to:
- Performs tests of low or moderate complexity such as a range of waived tests, and preparation of slides, smears, cultures, etc.
- Consistently adheres to safety, infection control and universal precautions at all times, including before, during and after drawing blood.
- Performs blood-drawing duties in a courteous and professional manner.
- Strict attention to sterility requirements for the correct technique when phlebotomizing patients for blood cultures.
- Prepares referral specimens for shipment.
- Maintains computer files and manually printed order entry forms.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
