Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job

Overview Position: Registered Nurse – ICU Travel Assignment in Olathe, Kansas. Start date July 6, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,027–$2,146 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights (1900–0730). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with ICU/PCU hybrid units. Employment Type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. This assignment requires a KS RN or Compact RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHF, and is suited for an experienced ICU nurse comfortable working across mixed critical care services. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,027–$2,146 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (1900–0730) Start date: July 6, 2026 Setting: ICU/PCU hybrid unit handling neuro/spine/cardiac/medical-surgical patients Floating: float to PCU/CCU and other inpatient units as needed RN-to-patient ratio: typically 2:1 with critical patients; may flex to 3:1 Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adults in ICU/PCU, including mixed neuro/spine/cardiac/medical-surgical cases Monitor hemodynamics, manage ventilator support, and oversee invasive devices as required Perform lab draws, administer medications, and manage PICC lines; work independently on consults and codes Lead or participate in codes when necessary and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and communicate effectively with the care team Float to PCU/CCU and other inpatient units as needed while maintaining patient safety and quality of care Requirements Active KS RN license or Compact RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHF certification Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/critical care experience Experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open-heart patient care (required for night shifts) Ability to draw own labs and manage PICC lines; comfortable initiating own consults Willingness to float to PCU/CCU and other inpatient units Work schedule: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend required; on-call none; holiday coverage based on unit needs Benefits and Support Competitive weekly pay Bi-weekly pay schedule Structured orientation and onboarding, including Epic training Nicotine-free facility policy Assigned account manager for ongoing support during the assignment Flexible scheduling considerations and policy-based shift cancellations as applicable #J-18808-Ljbffr
