Front Desk Agent (Seasonal)

Front Desk Agent – Chatham Bars Inn The role of the Front Desk Agent is to provide the utmost in guest service while ensuring that the check‑in and checkout process for guests is handled efficiently and professionally. Responsibilities Manage keys, record and execute wake‑up call information, provide directions, and assist with all guest inquiries. Adhere to and practice the Forbes Travel Guide, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, and AAA standards. Provide room rate quotes and upsell to guests when possible. Coordinate with the Front Desk and Housekeeping Department to verify correct charges and assignments. Verify that the correct charges are posted to the guest folio. Collect payment for charges on the guest folio and ensure all cash and cash equivalents are accounted for and balanced at the beginning and end of each shift. Respond to and manage phone activity, providing general knowledge to callers. Provide administrative, reception, and program support for management and staff. Smile and greet guests in a welcoming manner, using the guest’s name. Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management. Register and assign rooms to guests. Maintain a professional appearance at all times. Qualifications Superior customer service skills. Ability to multi‑task and work well in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organization. Excellent computer skills and telephone etiquette. Ability to work closely and cohesively with other departments to ensure optimum guest satisfaction. Well‑groomed appearance. Ability to stand for long periods during shift(s). Previous experience preferred but not required.
