National Book Company, a subsidiary of W.W. Norton & Company, is seeking a Business Coordinator. This position is responsible for clerical and other support of the accounting department. This is a full-time position based out of our Scranton, PA office.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
• Manage and update files and other records with accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate and facilitate internal and external communications, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and drafting correspondence.
• Conduct research and provide assistance in various projects and special assignments
• Collaborate with team members to improve administrative processes and contribute to a positive work environment
• Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents
• Provide assistance and support to company personnel
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
• Constantly update job knowledge

Job Requirements:

• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
• Data entry and word processing skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Employment eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company/National Book Company in the US
• Must be able to work from our Scranton, PA office
