Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS Must-Have: - Epic experience preferred - Ventilator management skills - Experience with vasoactive drips and multiple medications Description: We are seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift position. The nurse will work with a mixed ICU/CCU and intermediate care beds. The nurse will float to medical surgical wards if census is low, taking turns with colleagues. The CCU ratio is 2:1, while the Telemetry ratio is 4:1. There are no aides available on the night shift. The unit does not perform hemodynamics beyond arterial and central venous pressure lines. Ventilator management, temporary pacing, and acute dialysis are part of the care provided. No intra-aortic balloon pumps or specific surgical procedures are performed in this unit. Clinical staff is dedicated to ensuring optimal patient care and supporting fellow team members. Weekend shifts typically include Sundays, and travelers are usually scheduled every other weekend. Travelers should be prepared to manage a diverse range of medical cases, particularly abdominal surgeries.
