Environmental Specialist II

This Environmental Specialist II position with the Florida Department of Health involves conducting independent inspections of regulated environmental health facilities and entities throughout Sarasota County for compliance with state and local codes. The role covers multiple program areas including water well construction, onsite wastewater systems, swimming pools, food hygiene, biomedical waste, and sanitary nuisance investigations. Work is based in the South County office in Venice and requires extensive fieldwork outdoors in all weather conditions, with travel to the North County office as needed.
