NCR Voyix is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and serves customers in more than 35 countries worldwide.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced litigation lawyer with a broad litigation background (substantive legal issues, proceedings, and venues, including experience with appearing before courts and other tribunals). The position is responsible for managing cases and disputes, including general liability, commercial contract, employment, competition-related, environmental and intellectual property liability claims and lawsuits, from inception to trial and appeal or settlement, and collaborates with outside counsel on case strategies and budget management. The successful candidate must be able to identify and lead litigation strategies, and when called upon, advocate for and represent the company in such matters. The position will focus primarily on domestic matters, with opportunities to work on non-U.S matters. The position reports to the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic counseling to clients on matters related to existing litigations and disputes, litigation avoidance, and otherwiseLead internal investigationsCounsel clients on proactive measures to reduce and control legal exposureResponsible for case budgets and forecasts and management of outside counselRole in corporate risk review process, tied to accounting and disclosure responsibilitiesDevelop strong, strategic relationships with clientsRepresent NCR in mediations and before courts and other tribunalsManage electronic discovery aspects of casesWork directly with vendors on negotiation of contracts and management of supportQualificationsExperience:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school5+ years of related experience in a law firm, which must include hands-on litigation experience, including substantive roles in trials or arbitrationsKnowledge of privilege issues relevant to in-house practiceExcellent judgment and ability to work independently, including demonstrated ability to be a self-starterStrong negotiation skillsSuperior legal and business writing skillsExcellent oral communication skillsFamiliarity with electronic discovery protocols and litigation technologyAbility to manage large number of outside counselAbility to conduct and direct legal researchWilling to learn in a fast-paced environment and on a large number of matters at any given timeMember of the Georgia bar or be eligible to practice as an in-house attorney in GeorgiaOffers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the jobEEO StatementIntegrated into our shared values is NCR Voyix’s commitment to equal employment opportunity.
