Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Inpatient Rehab

Overview Implements the plan of care as provided by the physical therapist, treating patients of all ages. Serves as a role model in delivering professional services and as a clinical resource for staff and students. Qualifications Certifications: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA) Education: Associate's Degree in a related field (Required) Work Experience: [Specify if applicable] Responsibilities Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using relevant and effective teaching methods. Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and available evidence, after communicating with the evaluating therapist and documenting the communication in the daily note. Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy (CTSCP67). Completes annual education as assigned to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements, if applicable. Implements intervention plans according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist, utilizing functional activities and considering the patient's functional and emotional needs. Modifies approach based on patient behavior and performance. Uses standardized outcome measures consistently to accurately reflect functional performance. Completes documentation adhering to regulatory and organizational standards. Collaborates with patients, families, and significant others throughout the rehabilitation process, providing education and family training as necessary. Communicates with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding any changes in patient status, performance, or treatment plan adjustments. Clearly communicates patient performance, status changes, activity/transfer recommendations, discharge disposition, and equipment needs to the medical team. #J-18808-Ljbffr Carle Health
