Salary Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Job Overview

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Oncology team at our Children’s Hospital located on the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
• At least one year of experience as a Pediatric RN.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Strong computer proficiency.

Preferred:

• Experience in Pediatric Oncology is advantageous.

Certifications and Licenses Required

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey.
• PALS certification is required.
• APHON Chemotherapy certification is necessary.

Scheduling Requirements

• Night shift, totaling 36 hours per week.

Essential Functions

• The Registered Nurse delivers care within the healthcare system, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while upholding ethical practices as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensures safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles and taking responsibility for enhancing personal and team knowledge through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Responsible for reporting safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the patient demographics served.
• Supervises and directs task delegation among team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities consistently, implementing appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes for improvement.
• Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
