This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and the option of two remote workdays each week. Key Responsibilities Play a critical role in case preparation by obtaining medical records through authorizations and subpoenas, ensuring timely follow‑ups with providers. Maintain and streamline case data with well‑structured discovery and records organisational charts to enhance efficiency. Conduct vital research by issuing Public Records Requests and performing background investigations to support litigation strategy. Analyze and summarize medical records, including treatment chronologies that provide crucial case insights. Draft and prepare answers to Complaints. Support attorneys in depositions and discovery by preparing discovery requests and responses, witness disclosures, supporting declarations, and affidavits for ongoing matters. Summarise transcripts, manage key documents, and ensure timely follow‑ups on discovery requests. Manage and prepare document productions efficiently by reviewing, analysing, and organising files from insured parties. Communicate with client and claim representatives to ensure timely completion of discovery requests. Prepare and organise materials for expert witness review, ensuring they have the necessary documentation for case assessments. Keep case files impeccably organised and accessible, ensuring a smooth workflow for attorneys and litigation teams. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a strong team dynamic and ensure smooth case progression. Provide comprehensive trial preparation support, including deposition designations, witness and exhibit management, preparation of pre‑trial materials, and coordination of trial logistics. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal Certificate preferred. 4+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong preference for those with insurance defence experience. Demonstrated experience billing time as a paralegal, with an understanding of law‑firm billing practices and expectations. Exceptional writing and communication skills, ensuring clarity in documentation and correspondence. Thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, balancing multiple tasks with precision and efficiency. Proven ability to draft written discovery and maintain detailed records of received documents. Highly organised and detail‑oriented, with a keen ability to manage large volumes of case materials. Tech‑savvy with sophisticated technical skills, including proficiency in legal research tools and case management software. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $85,000 – $92,000 per year. This full‑time position is eligible for discretionary bonuses and includes a comprehensive benefits package that covers 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
