Your Daily Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive assessments of patients, ordering diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in partnership with physicians (based on your qualifications)
• Educating families and patients about preventative care, wellness practices, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within the framework of your practice

Requirements for Education

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Mandatory Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Arizona
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain these within 90 days)
