Join us.Position SummaryThe Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for supporting and promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. This role assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Program AdministrationAssist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS TI OP’s and TES’s.Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work practices.Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation.Training & Employee EngagementCoordinate and deliver safety orientation and ongoing GA and Authorized training programs.Promote employee awareness and participation in safety initiatives.Support safety committees and facilitate safety meetings.Develop safety communications, signage, and educational materials.Incident Investigation & ReportingInvestigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events.Identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.Track corrective action completion and verify effectiveness.Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate records.Environmental ComplianceAssist with environmental programs including waste management, recycling, air emissions, stormwater, and hazardous materials management.Coordinate environmental inspections and audits.Support permit compliance and environmental reporting requirements.Risk Assessment & Continuous ImprovementParticipate in risk assessments, job hazard evaluations and ergonomic evaluations.Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective measures.Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risks and improve safety performance.Monitor safety metrics and prepare reports for management review.Emergency PreparednessAssist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans.Coordinate emergency drills and preparedness activities with First RespondersSupport first aid, fire protection, and emergency response programs.Job RequirementsEducationAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Experience1–3 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety programs, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments.Experience with OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable safety and environmental regulations.Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.Excellent communication and training abilities.Ability to conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.Preferred CertificationsOSHA 30-Hour Certification.Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar credentials are a plus.First Aid/CPR certification preferred.We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
