Medical Laboratory Technician

Eagle Integrated Services, LLC (EIS) is seeking Medical Laboratory Technicians. All contracted support personnel must participate in the CAP or alternative proficiency-testing program. The Contractor shall possess an associate degree or higher in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, and be certified by the ASCP, AMT or other board of registry deemed comparable by OASDHA or their designee (CLMS) as an MLT or MT/MLS.

Personnel with at least two years of microbiology, virology, immunology, auto immune testing experience is highly desired but not required.

The Contractor must have a Non-Disclosure Agreement in place with their company, and the company must provide a copy to the Program Manager of this task order. This is necessary in order to mitigate transfer of any confidential, proprietary and/or sensitive information while in this position.

The Contractor shall:

• Assist biologists and medical scientists in laboratories.
• Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, perform calculations and record results for high complexity laboratory testing.
• Analyze organic substances, such as blood, urine, stool, respiratory samples.
• Perform high complexity testing and meet personnel standards according to Department of Defense Manual 6440.02 and CAP.
• Perform a variety of routine and complex procedures listed in Epidemiology Laboratory Operating Instructions.
• Deliver functional and technical support services for Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and Data Innovations Instrument (DII) Manager Systems.
• Process specimens using the appropriate equipment, instruments, or techniques to ensure optimal patient specimen integrity and positive identification throughout the test process. They perform quality control procedures that assure all test performance, test methodologies, and equipment performance with within manufacturer's guidelines and performance specifications.
• Provide results within the Turn-around Time (TAT) as defined in each section. TAT is the time it takes to process, accession, test, and enter results into the Composite Health Care System Database for each sample. The standard is to provide 100% accurate and 100% reliable and confidential results, to the authorized facility ordering or using the results. See Appendix III for a table of turnaround times.
• Perform and document equipment preventive maintenance and function checks to assure proper test performance and result reporting of equipment to the Government within manufacturer's guidelines and performance specifications.
• Perform and document all tasks to meet established standards of the Public Health Reference laboratory.
• Test and analyze all specimens/samples by established scientific laboratory techniques to aid in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases or to support medical research.
• Perform diagnostic analysis of biological specimens for: Bacteriology, Parasitology, Immunodiagnostics, Virology and Molecular Diagnostics, including all aspects of analysis (receipt, specimen preparation, analysis, and reporting of results).
• Be capable of rotating to any of the sections in the lab as requirements change. These sections are Central Operations (COPs), Bacteriology, Parasitology, Virology, Molecular Diagnostics, and Immunodiagnostics. This applies to all contract personnel laboratory technicians.
