Job Summary:

Our Las Vegas branch has an opportunity for a professional, detail-driven individual to fill the role of Production Technician. Your primary responsibility is the preparation of rental equipment for SmartSource clients: imaging, configuring, and testing computers, laptops, printers, IT equipment, large displays, LED video walls, and other tradeshow technology. You fill orders complete with cable kits and accessories, accurately scan all outbound inventory, and stage equipment to a one-business-day standard. The Production Technician is also a point of contact for field technicians and clients on IT and production support.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare, image, configure, and test all IT and tradeshow equipment for rental orders.
• Fill every order with complete cable kits and accessories so nothing is missing.
• Own first pass yield (FPY) by catching and correcting issues in house before equipment reaches the field.
• Accurately scan all outbound inventory and reconcile against the order.
• Meet the one-business-day prior to delivery staging standard; label and stage equipment in the correct location.
• Assist clients, account executives, and technicians with technical inquiries and provide in-house IT support.
• Assist in preparation of audio visual and LED equipment for rental orders.
• Report damages, shortages, or defects the same day they are identified.
• Support the Operation Management in other day-to-day functions as directed.

Requirements:

• 3+ years' work experience in computer systems and large screen displays with a strong level of attention to detail.
• Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting computer related hardware.
• Proficient in networking computers, laptops, and printers in both wired and wireless configurations in Windows and Mac environments.
• Experience with setup and operation of tradeshow, audio visual, or LED equipment a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think and work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to load/unload company vehicles; clean driving record and the ability to drive company vehicles.
