Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care functions under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing and meal setup. The CNA may float between two floors and supports the nursing team to ensure efficient and compassionate care delivery during night shifts. Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing and meal setup.
• Provide support to nursing staff across two floors as needed.
• Assist with routine hygiene care and patient positioning.
• Help with basic patient mobility and comfort measures.
• Communicate patient needs and status to nursing staff.
• Support efficient functioning of the care unit during night shifts.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current AHA BLS Provider CPR certification.
• Ability to perform basic patient care tasks safely and effectively.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in long-term care or similar healthcare settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Special Considerations:

• Night shift work with possible floating between two floors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Scheduling:

• Night shifts, schedule to be assigned.
• Work hours to cover 48 hours per week.
