As a Armed Security Officer - Shopping Plaza in Lynwood, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy commercial real estate location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe foot and vehicle traffic, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Support daily operations by providing clear directions, assisting with security-related inquiries, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
