Title: Director of Design- Children's - Newborn, Infant, Toddler, and Play wear
\nLocation: New York, NY
\nSalary- $130,000+
\n \nOverview
\n \nOur client, a rapidly growing children's brand is currently looking for a Design Director to join the team and oversee all facets of the design process while managing the team for. This position is also hybrid.
\n \nResponsibilities:
\n- \n
- Lead the full Design and Merchandising process ensuring designs, quality and fit are meeting the retailers requirements across childrens newborn, infant, toddler, play wear \n
- Shape seasonal design strategies and identify emerging trends \n
- Conduct research, identifying trends, maintaining brand strategy, and executing the design process and merchandising objectives. \n
- Communicate with the sales team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and approval of designs. \n
- Mentor and guide the design team, fostering a creative and collaborative environment with product development, and technical design teams. \n
- Offer support while reviewing and approve samples, fabrics, and color standards. \n
- Knowledge of a variety of fabrications including knitwear is required. \n
