Machine Operator I ($20.00/hour)

Machine Operator I (Night Shift 7:00pm-7:00am) Location: Tampa, FL. Reporting to Shift Lead, the Machine Operator will set up and operate an extrusion machine by established procedures, guidelines, and customer requirements while working in a safe and efficient manner. Training will be provided. Responsibilities Operate a PVC extrusion line independently ensuring product meets all applicable internal and external specifications. Test and measure products to ensure pipe products conform to required specifications and market appearance requirements. Perform inspections of print, wall, length, appearance, and bell fit on all lines. Complete Quality Control forms accurately. Identify and resolve quality issues. Adhere to all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Extrusion experience or ability to quickly learn extrusion operation and change‑over procedures. Ability to read and use tape measures, calipers, micrometers and basic math skills. Adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events calmly and logically. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced work environment. Can lift 50 pounds unassisted. Within 3 months Complete any required training. Develop relationships with key stakeholders for this role. Be well‑versed in Atkore’s Business System and understand the importance of your role to daily operations. Pay and other compensation Good faith estimate of $20.00 per hour . Placement in the range depends on several factors including specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. Other compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
