Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in San Antonio, TX. This role is focused on providing pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision, performing a variety of technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures.

Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Emergency response (Code Blue and White)
• Airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning
• Delivery of aerosolized drugs
• Ventilator management (setup and operation)
• Oral hygiene management
• Airway retaining device placement and maintenance
• Management of airway support devices like BiPAP and CPAP
• Oxygen delivery devices and therapeutic monitoring
• Chest film analysis
• Blood gas collection and analysis
• EKG analysis
• Accurate and complete documentation
• Equipment and supplies cleaning and stocking
• Participation in CAP and JC surveys

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• 1-3 years of experience preferred
• RT or RCP License in the state of TX required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• PALS certification required (AHA only)
• NRP certification required
