We are seeking compassionate and friendly individuals to join our team as Caregivers in Inver Grove Heights and surroun ding areas such as Eagan and Apple Valley . As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need.

We are urgently seeking caregivers in the South Metro for day and evening shifts. Shifts may be 4 to 8 hours in length.

And we're seeking caregivers who'd like to work when their children return to school! We're seeking applicants who can work 4 hour-shifts between the hours of 9am and 3 pm.

Comfort Keepers is a well-known, top brand home health agency servicing the Metro Area that provides consistency, a great atmosphere with flexibility for our caregivers! Here at Comfort Keepers self-care is important!

Essential Duties:

• Assist male and female clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals
• Assist with mobility and transfers
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living spaces
• Drive clients to appointments or social outings
• Implement behavior management techniques as needed
• Utilize your smart phone to send texts and emails and to download and use apps to view care plans and record tasks and to send texts and emails

• $21.00 - $23.00/ hour on Friday thru Sunday

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U. S.
• Experience as a caregiver for adults or nursing assistance training (or equivalent)
• Have a valid Driver's License and an active Auto Insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, motor vehicle record check, reference checks, and TB screening
• Willing to drive personal vehicle for client transportation with mileage reimbursement
• Willing to do personal cares for both males and females
• Able to lift 25 pounds and transfer clients
• Ability to read, comprehend, and clearly speak English
• Possess and use a smartphone, which includes sending texts and emails, downloading and using Apps, and completing online training
• Able to function in a home setting with minimal direct supervision
• High moral standards of honesty and integrity
• Engage clients in activities of interest
• Follow care plans and accurately document tasks
• If we can't find shifts nearby your home, be willing to drive up to 25 miles to a shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in assisted living, in-home care, long-term care, or nursing home
• Dementia care and medication administration experience
• Skilled in personal cares such as bathing/showering/sponge baths, gait belt/transfers, toileting assistance, dressing/grooming
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and familiarity with client rights and home care practices
