RN - Urology - FieldsChristie at the Fields (LLC) - Champaign, IL 61822OverviewSalary Range $32.40 - $44.55 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift 1st Shift Education Level 2-Year Degree Category NursingGeneral Summary of DutiesChristie Clinic's department of Urology is seeking a full-time RN at the Fields clinic from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.Job Qualifications and ExpectationsJob Duties: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.Observe, record and report patient's condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.Order and maintain relevant office supplies for department effectiveness.Assist patient to exam room.Take patient vital signs and assist with procedures during appointments. During appointment, enter vitals, update medications and order labs, as needed.Obtain required insurance preauthorization for procedures and diagnostic testing.Send prescription refills in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.Maintain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.Assist with in-office procedures.Perform related work as required.Required Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursingPreferred Qualifications:Practical nursing experienceCertificate/License:Valid state license to practice practical nursingCPR CertificationTypical Physical Demands:Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.Typical Working Conditions:Work is performed in a clinical setting with exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Requirements may include working irregular hours.Pay and Benefits:The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
