Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but may exceed to meet unit needs. Patient ratio 1:2. Must be flexible with scheduling to accommodate unit needs. Highlights: 320-bed acute care hospital with a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams Diverse patient population including labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, and high-risk antepartum cases Float opportunities to Mother Baby unit to expand clinical experience Free parking provided for all staff 91-day assignment with potential for extension Requirements: Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required (1.5 years minimum considered with exceptional experience) Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (required - hardstop), BLS, and NRP Epic charting system experience required Expert-level competency performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision (hardstop requirement) Triage experience required (hardstop requirement) Comprehensive L&D skills including fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulation/recovery, and postpartum hemorrhage management Must be available to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Why Join Us?
