About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be a key executive responsible for the organization's financial strategy, leadership, and overall fiscal integrity. This includes serving as the chief financial strategist, leading the annual budgeting process, and ensuring the financial implications of the company's mission and program goals are met. The successful candidate will also be in charge of grants and fund management, particularly those from federal and state sources, and will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The CFO will be expected to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, and a strong background in nonprofit and fund accounting. Experience with government grant compliance, particularly in the areas of early childhood education and nonprofit organizations, is highly desirable. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, who can effectively manage a multi-disciplinary administrative team. A CPA and/or MBA, as well as bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, are preferred qualifications. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, and critical thinking, and have the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to ensure the financial stability and long-term sustainability of the organization.
