Job Description:

Provide care for patients on PCU/stepdown-level cardiac and medical holds in the ED. Manage vasoactive and cardiac drip therapies (e.g., Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem). Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and provide post-cardiac cath care. Administer non-invasive ventilatory support (BiPAP, CPAP). Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including PT, Respiratory, and Pharmacy.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years RN experience. Strong PCU/stepdown background within the last year. ED experience preferred but not required. First-timers accepted only with EPIC experience and 2 years' experience. Valid state license required. ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA/Red Cross accepted). EKG test required on arrival.

Compliance / Notes:

Every Other Weekend (EOW) required. Travelers may be floated to similar units. No Thanksgiving RTO allowed. Drug screen must be obtained within 14 days of start. Medical/religious exemptions accepted for flu vaccine.
