In this role, you will provide nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit. The position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Shifts This position involves rotating shifts: Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Shifts may be variable based on operational needs, and while we strive to accommodate preferred shift patterns, rotation may occur when necessary. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team. Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Participate in patient education and support initiatives. Potentially float to other units, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department, as necessary. Qualifications Must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty being applied for. Must have a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or the American Red Cross are required. Must be willing to work at least every other holiday. Onboarding Requirements During orientation, candidates will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment, achieving an acceptable score on both to ensure competency in patient care.
