Vice President, North America - Real Estate Acquisitions

In this role, you will manage relationships with one of the largest banks active in commercial real estate lending and financing. You will work on deals and originate investment opportunities within your region, partnering internally and externally to structure, negotiate, and execute transactions. You will leverage your expertise in commercial real estate, capital structuring, and relationship management to maximize opportunities, evaluate risk, and drive portfolio performance. This is a remote or hybrid role with approximately 40% domestic travel. At the end of the day, we are focused on delivering strong, risk‑adjusted returns for our investors. We work closely with our partners to evaluate opportunities, structure transactions, and execute investments across market cycles. Description Build and manage a diversified pipeline of commercial real estate investment opportunities across multiple asset classes. Source, evaluate, negotiate, and execute acquisitions, refinancings, and dispositions in alignment with portfolio strategy and investment objectives. Develop and maintain executive‑level relationships with banks, lenders, investors, brokers, and strategic partners. Lead underwriting, financial analysis, due diligence, and investment committee presentations to support investment decision‑making. Structure debt and equity financing strategies that optimize returns while balancing risk and capital efficiency. Collaborate cross‑functionally with legal, finance, operations, and asset management teams to ensure seamless execution and portfolio integration. Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and competitive dynamics to identify emerging investment opportunities. Implement risk management strategies throughout the acquisition and asset management lifecycle. Drive business development initiatives to expand sourcing channels and investment opportunities. Oversee forecasting, pipeline reporting, and post‑investment performance analysis to support portfolio optimization and investor reporting. Facilitate negotiations and support the drafting of transaction documentation to ensure successful closings. Build strategic relationships across the commercial real estate ecosystem to enhance sourcing and execution capabilities. Minimum Qualifications Typically requires 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, investment banking, lending, capital markets, or related experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Strong solution‑based selling business development and relationship management skills, with experience structuring commercial real estate acquisition and financing solutions aligned with portfolio objectives. Demonstrated experience sourcing, underwriting, and executing commercial real estate transactions across multiple asset classes. Strong understanding of capital structuring, financing strategies, due diligence, and risk management. Proven ability to develop executive‑level relationships and drive investment activity through strategic partnerships. Expertise in financial modeling, investment analysis, and market evaluation. Strong negotiator, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across organizations. Experience leading complex contracts in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities, execute independently, and drive results under pressure. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications MBA is a plus. Experience across acquisitions, asset management, and portfolio strategy. Established relationships within banks, commercial real estate lending and brokerage communities. Strategic thinker with ability to identify and execute on emerging investment opportunities. High level of integrity, accountability, and sound investment judgment. Experience with CRM and investment reporting systems. Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative, execution‑focused approach. Familiarity with banks is highly preferred. Compensation and Benefits The firm offers a highly competitive compensation structure designed to reward performance, commercial impact, and long‑term growth. Base salary is expected to range from $175,000–$250,000, with significant upside potential through discretionary incentive compensation and performance‑based awards. Total annual compensation may range from $600,000–$850,000+, depending on individual performance and overall business results. A performance bonus tied to individual, team, and company performance; An asset‑level incentive component based on income generated from acquired and managed properties; A long‑term incentive component tied to realized gains upon the disposition of investment assets.
